Paul LaJeunesse’s latest mural, Forge, now graces the north wall of Stone Harbor Wilderness Supply in Grand Marais, Minnesota. As highlighted in a recent blog post by Stone Harbor, the mural captures the rugged beauty and adventurous spirit of the North Shore.

The 10×20-foot mural, funded by a Minnesota State Arts Board grant, reflects LaJeunesse’s deep connection to the landscapes he paints. Drawing on his experience as a landscape artist and muralist, Forge blends vibrant colors, layered imagery, and dynamic compositions to capture the essence of the region’s natural environment.

“This piece is about honoring the journey and the landscapes that define the North Shore,” LaJeunesse said. “I wanted to create something that captures the movement, energy, and spirit of this place.”

LaJeunesse’s work at Stone Harbor continues his commitment to creating public art that connects people to the environments they inhabit, transforming ordinary spaces into powerful expressions of place and identity.
