Welcome to WordPress. This is your first As reported by Fox21 News, Paul LaJeunesse, an Assistant Professor of Art at the College of St. Scholastica, is leading a mural project as part of the Duluth Street Art Initiative. This collaborative effort aims to transform a downtown Duluth alley into a vibrant public art space, fostering community engagement and revitalization.

LaJeunesse, the lead artist for the project, designed the central mural, which spans the alley behind Dubh Linn’s Irish Pub on Superior Street. The initiative invites volunteers to join in the painting process, creating a cultural hub that celebrates the city’s creative spirit.

“We’re trying to create an area of cultural capital for downtown Duluth that is going to have a positive impact,” LaJeunesse told Fox21 News. “It’s about transforming underutilized spaces into community assets that reflect the vibrancy and creativity of the area.”

The project culminated in a public celebration featuring live music, local food, and the opportunity to meet the artists. The Duluth Street Art Initiative plans to continue this momentum, adding more murals throughout the city in the coming years.
