STem

The latest mural by St. Scholastica’s Paul LaJeunesse (Assistant Professor of Art)! Commissioned by the State of MN as part of the State Percent for Art Program and installed at South Central College in North Mankato, the mural features students working in STEM fields and other skilled trades.

From the artist, “The painting highlights health sciences, agribusiness, engineering, pre-architecture, mechatronics, welding and machining. The images are layered to give a sense of the dynamic nature of hands-on learning in these fields and illustrating the cross-over and collaborative nature of these industries.”

It was completed March 27th of this year. The local Duluth Saints community will most likely recognize LaJeunesse’s exceptional work from the mural he completed at Frost River Trading Company in Lincoln Park. We can’t wait to see where Paul makes a mark next!
